There was a terrific turn-out for the annual match between Ireland and the Rest of the World -- more than 50 players -- and for the first time for four years (appropriately with an Irish Captain of the Club) the Irish steam-rollered their way to victory, by 524 points to 472. The best fifteen scores on each side counted. John Gannon received a bottle of Bushmill's Irish whisky for leading the Irish charge, with Les Patterson (41 pts) closely behind him. Peter Wallder led the vain Rest of the World charge with 42 points and Madge Corbitt came close behind him with an excellent 40 points. Congratulations to the Irish team!
