WCGC Covid-19 Policies

Arriving at the Club

  • We ask that golfers do not arrive more than 20 minutes before their tee time
  • Please try and park in the road, and only enter the car park as a last resort if you will miss your tee time. (Parking restrictions in Camp Road only come into force from 2.30pm)
  • Where ever possible please travel to the club on foot or by bike.
  • Members can access the locker rooms and trolley rooms for the retrieval and return of equipment ONLY
  • There is to be no changing (including shoes) or showering
  • A maximum of 2 people at any one time in the men’s and ladies locker rooms.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be at each entrance.
  • Social distancing MUST be adhered to at all times. Please resist the temptation to mingle.

Course Access

  • If you are displaying any signs of COVID 19 you must not travel to the golf club
  • The course is open to members and visitors for 18 holes
  • Sundays will remain members only. Members may bring one guest on a sunday morning if it's not too busy.

Booking Tee Times

  • Our course will open at 8am
  • Three and four balls are permitted.
  • ALL GOLF must be booked. This can be done online through our website for visitors or through the members hub for members.
  • Members may book 5-days in advance.
  • Visitors may book 2-days in advance.
  • The tee sheet goes live at 8:00am every morning.

Clubhouse Facilities

  • A member of staff will be on duty at all times, in the golf shop and office from 7:30am - 4:30pm and the bar from 12:00pm - 8:00pm.
  • A face covering must be worn in the clubhouse. This includes the golf shop and when being served in the bar.
  • Please respect the staff and ensure social distancing is adhered to.
  • Ladies please use the toilet facilities in your changing rooms. Gentlemen please use yours in the club, but there is NO access to the shower room.
  • There will be strictly NO admittance to any other areas to the clubhouse without the express permission of the General Manager.

On the Course

  • Social distancing must be observed throughout, particularly on the tees and greens
  • This is especially important at the 1st and 8th tee. Social distancing must be observed and a rotation system will be in place.
  • Please be patient, as there will be a higher number of public in the area
  • Please carry individual sanitiser and use regularly
  • Greenkeepers will have priority on the course. You must not hit a ball if they are on the hole.
  • Divot boxes have been removed
  • Flagsticks to remain in the hole and must not be touched
  • Hole cups have lifters for contact-free ball retrieval.
  • Once a hole is completed, the group in front must have exited the tee box before players can progress to the next hole.
  • Please play ready golf, and be aware of your pace of play. You must keep up with the pace to avoid the bunching up of groups.
  • Equipment, food and drink must not be exchanged between players.
  • Players must not pick up another player’s ball or equipment
  • Players must not move another player’s bag or trolley
  • Do not exchange scorecards
  • Players must refrain from handshakes etc.
  • All members must carry the phone number of the Rangers (0208 788 7655) and WCGC (0208 946 7571)
  • Golfers are not to get into any arguments or heated debates with the public.

After Your Round

  • The bar is open serving drinks and a limited food menu
  • There is a one-way system in place. You can only enter the clubhouse through the front door and exit the bar through the back door. If you enter the bar through the back door you will not be served.
  • You must wear a face covering when waiting or being served in the bar
  • Only two people can stand at the bar to be served at a time. Please form a socially distanced queue outside the bar if it's busy.
  • You must sit outside unless it is raining
  • In the case of adverse weather a limited number of people will be allowed to sit inside.
  • You must maintain social distancing when seated. No more than 4 people to a table.
  • All drinks are served in takeaway cups
  • Please put all of your rubbish, including empty cups, in the bins provided outside before you leave.
