WCGC Covid-19 Policies

The Government have recently extended Covid restrictions to 19th July. This means we still can't operate as normal and a few policies remain in place. Please see below our up to date Covid policies and ensure you have familiarised yourself with them before coming to the club.

Arriving at the Club

  • We ask that golfers do not arrive more than 20 minutes before their tee time
  • Please try and park along Camp Road or opposite the clubhouse. The car park will open once these spaces are full (Parking restrictions in Camp Road only come into force from 2.30pm)
  • Where ever possible please travel to the club on foot or by bike.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be at each entrance.
  • Social distancing rules are still in place and must be adhered to at all times. Please resist the temptation to mingle.

Course Access

  • If you are displaying any signs of COVID 19 you must not travel to the golf club
  • The course is open to members and visitors for 18 holes
  • Sundays will remain members only. Members may bring one guest on a sunday morning if it's not too busy.

Booking Tee Times

  • Our course will open at 7:30am for members and 8:00am for visitors (weekdays only).
  • Three and four balls are permitted.
  • ALL GOLF must be booked. This can be done online through our website for visitors or through the members hub for members.
  • Members may book 7-days in advance.
  • Visitors may book 5-days in advance.
  • The tee sheet goes live at 7:00am every morning.

Clubhouse Facilities

  • A member of staff will be on duty at all times, in the golf shop and office from 7:30am - 4:30pm and the bar from 12:00pm - 8:00pm.
  • A face covering must be worn in the clubhouse. This includes the golf shop and when walking through the bar.
  • Please respect the staff and ensure social distancing is adhered to.
  • All Clubhouse facilities are now open but with some limits.
  • No more than 6 people in the changing rooms (men and ladies) at any one time
  • No more than 3 people in the shower rooms at any one time
  • There will be strictly NO admittance to any other areas to the clubhouse without the express permission of the General Manager.

On the Course

  • Social distancing must be observed throughout, particularly on the tees and greens
  • This is especially important at the 1st and 8th tee. Social distancing must be observed and a rotation system will be in place.
  • Please be patient, as there will be a higher number of public in the area
  • Please carry individual sanitiser and use regularly
  • Greenkeepers will have priority on the course. You must not hit a ball if they are on the hole.
  • Divot boxes have been removed
  • Flagsticks to remain in the hole and must not be touched
  • Hole cups have lifters for contact-free ball retrieval.
  • Once a hole is completed, the group in front must have exited the tee box before players can progress to the next hole.
  • Please play ready golf, and be aware of your pace of play. You must keep up with the pace to avoid the bunching up of groups.
  • Equipment, food and drink must not be exchanged between players.
  • Players must not pick up another player’s ball or equipment
  • Players must not move another player’s bag or trolley
  • Do not exchange scorecards
  • Players must refrain from handshakes etc.
  • All members must carry the phone number of the Rangers (0208 788 7655) and WCGC (0208 946 7571)
  • Golfers are not to get into any arguments or heated debates with the public.

After Your Round

  • The bar is open serving drinks and a limited food menu
  • There is a one-way system in place. You can only enter the clubhouse through the front door and exit the bar through the back door.
  • It is table service only
  • You must wear a face covering when walking through the bar and clubhouse
  • You must maintain social distancing when seated. No more than 6 people to a table.
  • You can sit both inside or outside. Our outside seating area is under cover.
  • All drinks are served in takeaway cups
  • Please put all of your rubbish, including empty cups, in the bins provided outside before you leave.
