Following yesterday's announcement by the Government, closing all pubs, bars, clubs, leisure centres etc... it has become clear that our plan to have the Clubhouse open via a small section of our bar and continue selling drinks has been overtaken by events. This Saturday we will open in the morning to enable members who haven't yet had the opportunity to collect their clubs from the locker rooms to do so. We will then remain open until approx 2:00pm to allow visitors to come in and pay a green fee. On Sunday we will be open from 7:30am - 9:00am. The clubhouse will then be closed for the rest of the day. We unfortunately will not be taking visitors this Sunday
From Monday 23rd March we will continue to allow access to the small area of the bar via the back door from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Obviously we will no longer be selling any alcoholic beverages but the coffee machine will still be in use and takeaway cups of tea plus water and soft drinks may be purchased over the bar.
The U.K. chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, has confirmed that it is safe to play golf as long as you adhere to social distancing. Therefore we can confirm that the course will remain open all day to those Members who wish to play social golf and visitors will be able to come between 9:00am and 3:00pm to pay their green fee in the bar.
For members with no transport and clubs in the Clubhouse please contact the office and alternative arrangements will be made.
This situation is constantly evolving so everything will be reviewed by the Management Committee and it's sub-committee on a regular basis or in reaction to Government advice.
Please note that the course will be closed this Wednesday 25th March for the Greenkeeping staff to carry out planned renovation work on the Greens and Tee Boxes.
Thank you all for your understanding in these difficult times. We hope to still see you here playing golf soon.
