At their Captains’ Day on Saturday 28th July 2018, 70 members of Wimbledon Common Golf Club and their guests gave generously to raise more than £5,000 for REAdY, the captains' chosen charity for 2018.

REAdY raises money to help young people with disabilities play sport and take part in healthy activities for fun and fitness. REAdY is run completely by volunteers.

Toby Gold popped in to explain to the guests how he has been helped by REAdY to win both a wheel chair chaser European Gold medal as well as Silver medal at the 2016 Paralympics Games.

Over the years REAdY has helped hundreds of children with grants for racing wheelchairs, basketball wheelchairs, blind cricket, ramps, prosthetics, seated skis, team kit, racing gloves, specialist hearing aids, gym equipment, swimming lessons, facilities and transport for kids, carers and even ponies!

For more information contact: Susie McHugh 07785774773 or the clubhouse at 020 8946 7571.
