The WCGC men had a great start in the Kelso Hamilton Bowl (Surrey Fours) for 2019, with both teams winning their first two matches but losing in the third round.
WCGC had two teams of men competing this year:
- Team 1: Dwight Lindo (16) and Steve Murray (13). Dwight and Steve won their first round match at Roehampton on March 8th, and beat Surrey Downs away in May. They were knocked out by Coulsdon Court Artisans 1 in June.
- Team 2: Phil Amuaku (14) and Oscar Grancha (14). Phil and Oscar beat Horton Park in their first round match, and beat Kingswood 2, 3 and 1, on April 27th. They lost to Coombe Wood 2 in the third round.
The Kelso Hamilton competition is for Surrey golfing men with handicaps between 13 and 18. The format is a knockout over 18 holes match play, pairs better-ball, off handicap. A club may enter one or two teams.
